Sure, take the negative off the battery, take the belt off, take the wires going to alternator off, remove bolts holding it on, reverse procedure to re-install, pretty easy.

pretty easy, except it has to come out through the wheel well which is a pain
I have a 92 saturn and obvoiusly these other guys have never seen where the alternator is on the saturn...

I have been rebuilding and fixing cars for 20 years and when the alternator on my wifes car went I looked at it and took it in to the shop and had them do it, it took 2 hours labour , plus the cost of the alternator. the alternator is on the passenger side of the car near the rear of the engine, on the bottom . the job is done one half from the top and 2/3 done from the bottom . so if you have a hoist and are use to working on cars you should be able to do it in about 4 to 8 hours. if your lucky, sometines its just better to take it to a shop,

hope this helps
