I dont have time right now but i can change the alternator in a few weeks but if i continue to drive, what will happen and also since my battery is new? will it eat up the power and burn the belt?

you will be able to drive a few miles sometime before it shut off.. cant go far with out one it wont be but a few minute not weeks and yes eat power belt not so much .. but you cant drive it without it you be lucky if you could drive it to the part store or shop.. if you dont have time to fix i guess you have time to walk

You will kill the battery.
your battery will die.then the alternator could overheat and seize then the belt will break and it can cause more damage then to just borrow money from friends or parents.
