How do you change an alternator on a '94 Cadillac Seville STS? And how long does it take?

My indicator light keeps showing up battery no charge;my dash lights are dim. Does this mean my alternator is going bad? Thanks in advance!

why don't you take a simple voltmeter and check the battery while the car is running and see what kind of voltage the alternator is putting out. You should have over 14 volts. If the alternator is putting out the 14 volts you might want to look elsewhere. As far as changing the alternator, its unbolt, take it off and bolt it back on.
