How do i change an Alternator on a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero (3400)?

the battery light comes on sometimes,, i just installed a brand new one myself so im guessing its the alternator.
How do i change an Alternator on a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero (3400)?
disconnect the battery cable first,,then remove the serpentine belt,,and remove the bolts that hold the alternator on,,also remove the wires from it,,installation is the reverse of this,,be care full and don't break anything like the wiring connector on it,,other wise its not that hard to do,,just take your time,,and you can do it,,good luck with it,,i hope this help,s.

Handy tip: shut the car off first before working on it
first i would take it to automotive store like advance or autozone and have them check the alt to m,ake sure that is what it is. Then on that car if that is what it is you have got alot of work ahead of you, i believe that the alt is all the way on lthe bottom next to the fire wall and if so then you have to jack the car up and put it on jack stands and then take the floor jack and put it under the sub frame and put some tension on the sub frame and then lo sen the front sub frame bolts and then take out the back sub frame bolts and then take the floor jack and let it down real slowly until you have enough room to take the alt out from underneath putting the new one in is just reversed
