My 2004 Volkswagen Beetle (GL - 2.0L) needs a new alternator. Is this something I could easily do on my own with a manual or should it go to a shop? I called one shop and they told me they were going to charge for 2 1/2 hours of labor.
Is it difficult to change the alternator on an '04 Beetle?
You have to take the front bumper off to get to it. That car has very little room to work with so often you spend as much time moving things out of the y way as you do fixing the problem.
