Sounds stupid, but it could actually be the battery
Seen lots of ignition switches go bad on them. Check and see if yours looks burnt up. you can usually get to it without removing the steering wheel by taking the upper and lower covers off that are just below it.
Check all connections. I don't remember if that model has a fuse or a fusible link (wire) on the hot wire to the alternator. Use a test light to check for juice at the big terminal on the back of the alternator. If you can drive in daylight with no lights or heater but not at night check the belt tensioner. An alternator and starter shop can check the system with the motor running.
