I had this problem with a car of mine. It turned out that there was a computer module in the car that went bad, %26amp; kept draining the battery.

you might have a Short some ware in the car.
check the wiring from the alternator to the battery it could be bad or corroded
wiring?
if it is still going dead there is something, somewhere that is taking it down. aftermarket cd player, anything that is not stock on the car could do it.

or a ground could be touching somewhere.

you know the alternator is charging while its running, cause it reads 12 volts, but just to make sure, take a tester straight to the battery to see what it reads then. you only have about 30 minutes on a battery if the alternator is not charging, if you can leave it running for that amount of time, your alternator is doing what it is supposed to. but i would think that something is pulling your battery down that you don't know about.

But if you can get in contact with me, I would like to know what the problem is.
have someone do a draw check on it,that will show up any drainage on the battery and allow you to start checking things to find out whats draining the battery, with all it being new it probably has a small draw on the battery causing this too happen,a good 12 volt test light will help you do a draw test on it then you,ll know, good luck.
If your only showing 12 volts while it's running then it's not charging, you should read at least 13.5 volts on a volt meter while it's running, 12 when it's cut off.
