Changing a alternator of a 98 ford expedition?

im heading down to my brother in laws college tomorrow to change his altenator, i was just wondering what tools I would need, i dont wanna take my whole tool box|||Should just be a 14-17mm socket, an 8-11mm socket, and a ratchet. Do yourself a favor though and bring the whole tool box if it%26#039;s a travel type version. I never leave home without mine as you never know what will go wrong along the way, while you are there, or on your way back home.|||Make sure you have a set of wire cutters and a roll of electrical tape in the tool box . The alternator for that should come with the wiring plug already attached and you will have to splice in wires . You got to know exactly what to do on that model or you will break the plug when extracting it from the alternator . Ford did this for about 3 years . Also DO NOT try to take the plug out of the new alt. as it will void the warranty .
